Sofie in Orange — Striking a Pose
Sofie takes a more confident pose for this 1/12 scale photoshoot, dressed in her bright orange bikini against the familiar turquoise backdrop.
For this shot, I wanted to experiment with a stronger, more expressive pose. Placing one foot on the miniature chair changes her posture, while the hand resting on her raised leg makes the pose feel more deliberate and model-like.
This is exactly what I enjoy about photographing Sofie. Despite being only 1/12 scale, small adjustments to her legs, hips, arms, and head can create a completely different character in front of the camera.
The simple setting also lets the pose do most of the work, with the orange outfit contrasting beautifully against the cool turquoise background.
Another little experiment in posing, composition, and miniature model photography — and Sofie is becoming increasingly comfortable in front of my camera.
