Mila in Leopard — 1/6 Scale Doll Photography
A new outfit and a quite different look for Mila, my 1/6 scale seamless doll.
This time she is wearing a leopard-print set with matching thigh-high stockings and white heels. It is certainly one of the bolder outfits I have for her, but with Mila’s long dark hair, I think it fits her very well.
For the pose, I placed her sitting on a 3D-printed 1/6 scale dollhouse desk. I really enjoy using furniture like this in my doll photography, especially pieces I can print myself. It gives me much more freedom to build a scene around the doll instead of always using a simple background.
The pose itself is quite relaxed, with Mila sitting on the edge of the desk and her legs hanging down. I kept the rest of the scene minimal and used warm side light, which gives the white furniture a nice glow and adds atmosphere to the photograph.
Working with Mila is also teaching me a lot about 1/6 scale doll posing. With the larger VeryCool Model Body No.6, there are many small things to consider—the hands, legs, hair, clothing, and how everything sits naturally together.
And I must admit, Mila in leopard print has quite some personality.
