Sofie — Between the Pillows
Sofie looks quite comfortable here. Maybe a little too comfortable.
She has taken over the sofa, settled herself between the pillows, and stretched her arms out as if she has no intention of moving anytime soon. The black dress was supposed to give her an elegant look, but sitting like this, she seems to have forgotten elegance altogether.
Or perhaps she hasn’t forgotten at all.
Something wonderfully confident about the way she looks toward the camera. She knows the dress has ridden up. She knows the photographer has noticed. And judging by that calm expression, she doesn’t seem particularly interested in fixing it.
“Are you going to take the photo, or are you just going to keep staring?”
I wanted this 1/12 scale doll photography set to feel less like a carefully arranged miniature pose and more like catching Sofie during a private moment at home. The warm light, little sofa, and cushions help create that atmosphere, while her TBLeague seamless body makes it possible to give such a tiny doll a surprisingly relaxed and feminine pose.
Sometimes the fantasy begins when the pose stops looking like a pose.
